Cornish & Devon Post - weekly newspaper, published in Launceston. It was launched in 1856. There are four titles within the Cornish & Devon Post series, which cover the main towns of Launceston, Bude, Holsworthy and Camelford; the area covered is roughly northwest Devon and a larger area in northeast Cornwall. It is owned by the Tindle Newspaper Group.

Cornish Guardian - a weekly newspaper in Cornwall, which is part of the Cornwall & Devon Media group. It is published in 7 separate editions: Bodmin edition Lostwithiel and Fowey edition Newquay edition (renamed in 2007 as the Newquay Guardian) North Cornwall edition South East Cornwall edition St Austell edition (renamed in 2007 as the St Austell Guardian) Wadebridge edition

Western Morning News - a daily newspaper for Cornwall and parts of Devon.

West Briton - also known as the Truro & Mid Cornwall West Briton.

Radio

Atlantic FM is an independant radio station based in St Agnes on the north coast. Broadcasting on 105.1 and 107.0 FM Atlantic FM provides a 7-day local news service with regular bulletins between 0630 and 1830 daily. BBC Radio Cornwall for local news, weather and traffic - plus lots of good entertainment. Based in Truro. Broadcasting on 103.9 FM in the west, 95.2 FM in the east and 96.0 FM on the Isles of Scilly

Pirate FM is an Independent Radio station, also based in Redruth. Broadcasting on 102.2 and 102.8 FM.

Television

BBC 1 - Mostly national programs with a few local programs and local news from BBC South West

BBC 2 - few local programs - mainly the same programs as the rest of Britain.

Westcountry (ITV) - Run by Carlton (who are in the South & East of England). Local news and weather with a few local programs.

myCornwall.tv - was launched in 2009 to unite all things Cornish on the internet, using video and social media.

Channel 5 is only available in a few areas of Cornwall.

Sky is available if you have a receiving dish. Many touring caravans can now be seen sporting Satellite dishes. Most hotels and guest houses offer Sky stations on guest room televisions.

Virgin Media has taken over Telewest. Digital TV and broadband internet services first became available in Devon and Cornwall from September 2002. It is now available throughout the two counties. Their website has a facility for you to enter your postcode (or holiday destination postcode) to check the current availability.

Freesat (free-to-air digital satellite television) is a joint BBC & ITV venture serving the United Kingdom. First marketed in May 2006, Freesat offers a satellite alternative to the Freeview service on digital terrestrial television. It provides a generally similar selection of channels to those available on Freeview. There is no subscription and users only need to purchase the satellite dish and the receiver box.

Freeview (also known as DTV Services) is a free-to-air service on the Digital Terrestrial Television platform in the UK. Freeview is jointly run by its five equal shareholders; BBC, ITV, Channel 4, Sky and, the transmitter operator, Arqiva. All that is required is a set-top digital box (or a digital television) and a suitable aerial. Most existing television aerials are suitable for Freeview.
